What's fraudulent about it?

The only problem I can see is misrepresentation of one's identity,
but if you only do it once.

(Maybe I'm weird, but I don't feel that signing up for record clubs,
fulfilling the membership requirement by purchasing one cd, cashing in
the voucher for 8 free CD's and then quitting is fraud either.).
