I also dispute that.  However, the Finder and other desktop apps will NOT 
automatically expand to 1024x768.  There is talk of a patch to QDII that 
will allow this, but it's still a long way from completion last I heard.  
However, you WILL get square pixels, and 16 REAL colors instead of being 
dithered (or so I've heard)

I agree wholeheartedly with this.  A Zip will do much more than a SS will 
for your GS at this point.  A SS will be a worthwhile investment, but you 
need the Zip more :)
