My setup includes one Apple 3.5", one Unidisk 3.5", Apple HS SCSI, CV-Tech
4Meg card with 3Meg onboard and 1 Meg on a piggy-backed Apple 1 Meg card,
a Pract. Peripherals 2400 baud modem, a Zip 7 MHz/8 k accelrator card and
a Quantum 170 Meg external hd from (then) LRO...and when I received the
170 Meg hd in replacement for a 52 Megger which worked with this setup,
the new hd drew just a little too mucjh power and wouldn't function
properly or reliably...we added an external power supply for the hd and
things have been fine ever since.
 
Moral: If it ain't broke, fix it anyhow.  You just haven't looked far
enough!
