Thanks Bill and Michael.

Michael:  yes, I reseated all the slot cards and when that didn't help
I reseated all the ICs on the board. It still didn't work.

Bill:  I'm glad to hear that what you found about the issue jibes with
what I am seeing, especially trying to boot the //e without the CPU
producing the same results. I will keep my fingers crossed that the
replacement CPU I ordered get the machine going again. I will post
back when the CPU arrives and I swap it in.
