This general topic has been discussed before.  You cannot put a useful
MS-DOS partition on the same disk as ProDOS and HFS volumes if Apple's
partitioning scheme is used, because the disk will not be recognised
by a PC.

With a Mac and recent system software, it _might_ be possible to put
an HFS qpartition onto a disk with the PC's partitioning scheme, but
the Apple II will not recognise these partitions.  The IIgs MS-DOS FST
will support an MS-DOS formatted hard drive with the PC partition
table (in theory - I haven't tried it).

You could, of course, have separate disks for MS-DOS and HFS/ProDOS.

The Mac 128 and 512 don't support SCSI.  You'd have to get a Mac Plus
or later.

You're probably thinking of the BlueDisk, which is a floppy disk
controller, not a hard drive controller.  MS-DOS volumes (with
PC-style partitioning) can be read on the IIgs using the MS-DOS FST,
and can be read and/or written using Peter Watson's shareware MS-DOS
utilities.

I'm only aware of this working on floppy disks (1.44MB).  It could
work with a Mac SCSI hard drive, assuming the software can handle the
partition table.
