I have to agree with this. The chips are cheap. I wouldn't bother with
the time or effort to desolder the chips.
ps. I hate the desoldering bulbs, and don't care to much for the wick.
I'm spoiled with the catapult desoldering tools. If you're going to do a
lot of desoldering (not just the RAM chips) I recommend a catapult.
