Chinook hard disk questions

First question: I have a CT-40 which now houses a Quantum 105 drive and is
connected to a HS SCSI card. It has an intermittent problem where it fails
to provide terminator power, so it fails to boot sometimes on a IIgs, and
vanishes off the SCSI bus on a Mac Plus, but works perfectly on a Quadra 700.
I called the Sequential gang and asked about it and was told that the power
supply is getting old and weak but there are no replacements available. So I
went down to the basement and dug up the blown supply from my CT-20c which
went out in a power flicker, the fuse blew and every replacement fuse blew
as soon as the drive was powered up. Happily this happened in the days when
replacements were available. So the question is, can I repair either the old
power supply or the current one? Or can I simply run a wire from the 5 volt
output on the supply to the appropriate pin on the DB25 connector to get
terminator power? Which pin would it be?

Second question: I have a superdrive card with one HD drive and one 800K drive
connected. Is it ok to connect the CT-20c to the drive chain or should I use
the normal floppy port?
