You did not say what kind of program they are using nor what interface
cards are required for input/output. The I/O, in particular, might prevent
using the Mac LC emulator. Because tne emulator does not have I/O
slots, there are many things which can be done on the IIe which can not be done on the emulator.
If the Mac LC with emulator were to be used only as a replacement for a
IIe, and if the IIe is working fine as is, why change?
Since you read the FAQ, you know that there are numerous sources of IIe
hardware and software.
