Version 2.x of ProDOS-8 assume that you have upper & lower case support (for
the boot screen & error messages apart from the one you get if you do not have
a 65c02) and a 65c02 and 64KB of main ram (and Applesoft & Autostart monitor).
So you should have a LC chargen in the motherboard.
Most 65c02 chips do not work in a ][+ according to Jim Sather in "Understanding
the Apple //e". A Rockwell 65c02 worked for him. Alternatively a Zip chip would
also do the trick (I seem to recall seeing the ][+ in my Zip chip manual).
