I have a cable from Elpe Enterprises, the official Morgan Davis approved
manufacturer of the official proline modem cable, and a regular ol' dealer
supplied Mac high speed modem cable. I've used both with a Courier V.34 dual
standard, a Courier V.32bis, and a Courier 2400e with DTE running at 9600.
I've used both cables with these modems on both a Quadra and a IIgs.
I've found no differences in operation or no need to change settings to
work with either. I did discover that the dual standard doesn't like it
if you try to use the cable supplied with a linelink modem with it.
