That's exactly what I thought, too. I heard lots of horror stories about 44 and
88Mb units, and the dealer kept saying that the 270 SyQuests do fix all the
problems of earlier models. So I bought one.

However, I have to add that at least one frtiend of mine finally got a working
unit (after 2 replacement units). It's fast and convenient, but I would never again
store any sensitive data on a SyQuest.

At last, they gave me a full refund. And I was not the only one.
