Welcome to the Apple // newsgroup.

The bottom line is that we have a functional machine already and we want to do
more with it.

Of course, most of the discussion now assumes the user has at least an Apple
//e w/ 128k. Apple ][ and ][+ machines are pretty much forgotten (in much the
same way that the "IBM-PC" and "Mac 128" are).

I own an Apple //e (fully packed to the gills) and a couple IBM-type computers
(a 386dx40 and 486dx33). I grew up with the Apple // family and I still
program them. I don't use my //e as much as I used to (when it was my only
computer) but there are still some things I can do on my //e that I can't do
on the PC [and vice versa].
