Joe referred to his "trusty cassettes," and I, too,
would like to second his comment! The Disk ][ seemed
an optional luxury for over a year, when I modified
two low-priced Shugart SA400's to interface to a
Disk ][ controller.

BTW, I never had any problems with cassette reliability,
except when interchanging with someone whose alignment
was out of whack. I kept a spare cassette recorder
whose alignment I fiddled with to read those cassettes!
