Re: [Q] Why Apple2 when we have PC?

Jeesh...where to begin. I could tell you how we use Apple IIs in
research 'cause they're so simple, reliable, and easy to program
it would cost a bloody fortune to replace them with PCs or Macs,
or a thousand other reasons...but questions like this come down
to "Gee, I like this computer...why doesn't _everyone_ else?" I
use a great variety of computers at work and I'm darned glad to
have them, but no single computer does it all. Even if I had the
resources I don;t think I'd replace my IIs with a Mac or PC, I
might get one IN ADDITION TO my IIs, but not in place of them.
A Mac or PC is not a II, and vice versa. A II is not a subset
of either, though there is overlap. We don't all drive Subarus,
play Segas, use Kenmore appliances, and we don;t go after each
others throats over it, so why do we over computers? This silly
debate has been raging ever since they developed the second
computer, and it won't end until they're as dull, boring, and
common place as other household appliances.

Have fun! 'cause if it ain't fun...what's the point?
