Help me rehabilitate an old HD!

I have an ANCIENT Apple 20SC (I think that's right) hard drive that plugs into
the disk drive port. Problem is, I don't have the actual mechanism. The case
is rather large, and contains a power supply and an interface adapter. There's
a 26 pin ribbon cable going from the adapter that should connect to the drive.
Does anyone know what kind of drive was in there? If it was SCSI (and I hope
it was; I can probably get a 20 meg SCSI mech for free :), a 26 pin connector
is a new one on me, but might just be the kind of thing Apple would do. The
question that follows is: What does this drive emulate? An Apple 3.5 or a
UniDisk? And if it does emulate a UniDisk, I'm correct in saying that it could
be used on a //c with UniDisk-friendly ROM's, yes?
