Sounds like you have a Hard Disk 20, the hard disk that came out in Oct '85 
for Macs (SCSI drives weren't around until the Plus came out in Jan '86). I've
never heard of anyone getting one to work on a II and I expect it can't be
done. It probably uses some MFM drive or something for the mechanism. I'd take
it off your hands for cheap to use with my Mac 128, assuming it's repairable.
