I dnloaded v105 about a week ago. Unfortunately, it still doesn't
work for me. Since dnload is costing me about $1.20 (which isn't all
that bad considering), I don't want to call when it isn't necessary.
I've tried each of the updates. None have worked perfect, but a couple
let me send a fax, so I know it should work. But v105 hasn't sent one
yet! Do I need to play around with init port speed?
My equipment:
Rom3 GS, 4Meg Q-RAM, ZipGS 8/64, Apple HS SCSI (DMA on), Quickie scanner,
Linelink 144e to GS modem port.
V105 does let me create, view, and print (my own) FAX. Sending always
result in a 'terminated due to error' (words to that effect) message.
The modem init seems to go OK. Dialing seems to work. I get various
warbling noises after the modem and FAX machine connect. It just always
fails about when it should be finishing, and I don't get a FAX on the
FAX machine (a HP model). V103 and v104 had bugs, but I could send a FAX
sometimes (not always though). But v105 is batting a perfect "0" :-(
Suggestions?

I have almost a duplicate of your system except for a Zoom modem
and have had exactly the same results. Vs. 1.03 allowed me to send
a 1 page fax ,1.04 hadgood graphics and printing but no sending and
1.05 is a complete dud. I'm beginning to see it as a lost cause.
