I'm in precisely the same situation as you - the only one on my server
using an Apple II (gs). Like you, I too was put onto Lynx by Koe Kohn,
and for some time the only way I could use it was by telnetting to
hnsource.cc.ukans.edu. I use ANSITerm on my IIgs, and using Lynx from
Kansas is a pure delight - the current link is in inverse, but the other
links are colored differently from the body text. Of course, this will be
impossible if you are using a IIe, or ProTERM (or even Spetrum) on a IIgs.
I managed to get Lynx installed on my local server (and I think I'm the
only one using it) but it is currently set up so that all the links are
inverse. I have asked my system administrator to change it, but so far
nothing has happened. I still find it usable with both ANSITerm _and_
PoTERM, though, since it HAS been set up with a flashing underline cursor
which helps to show which link is active. This might be one way out
for you.
