It is possible to make a IIgs 800k drive work on a Macintosh (I've done
it) by bypassing the daisy-chain and manual-eject board and using a spare
drive cable from a 400k drive. (The drive's original cable just caused
the drive to go into constant ejection whenever it was plugged in.)

But without the daisy chain and eject circuitry, you shouldn't be able to
make a Macintosh drive work on a IIgs. The IIgs needs more than just the
bare drive.

(And no, you can't have my converted IIgs drive... I'm looking to find a
cheap IIgs in a thrift store someday, and I already have a monitor, a
a floppy drive, and a couple of extra ADB mice.)
