Yep, they did say which chip set but I wasn't paying enough attention. I
will be sure to write it down next time I speak to them.

They did specifically mention the Rockwell chipset but I don't know if it
was the good set or the bad set. I do know that switching from Global
Village to Supra fixed all my problems. Problem is that technical
information of that nature is nowhere to be found in the manuals from
either of these modem manufacturers.
