 I know that I've seen too many flaky flopticals for me to voluntarily
purchase an Iomega product.

  I am waiting for Sony's Minidisc-Data unit.  It is a little more expensive
than the ZIP drive, but the media is cheaper, you can buy the media
at your local music store, and Sony produces quality equipment. Minidisc
is also a sturdy full-optical storage medium.
