yah.... ZBasic. excellent, if you can find it. (commercial program)
two versions. one runs on an enhanced 128k //e or higher, the other on
anything capable of ProDOS (64k ][+ or above). the only difference is
that the 128k version allows double hi-res and larger programs. the
stuff compiles to .SYSTEM files ($FF).
there's a version for DOS 3.3 someplace too, also for IBM, Mac, and
various CP/M systems. source is instantly portable from one to the
next; even graphics are not system dependent (except for certain
aspects, but with careful forethought it isn't a problem).
