SuperConvert v3.01c (latest?) does _not_ support the JPEG format.  The
only progam I know of to _view_ JPEGs is a program called JVPRERELEASE
which is a pre-release program: it only lets you view 'em in B&W and
doesn't let you save the resulting image.  For something more substantial,
look into the latest port of djpeg (for GNO or Orca).  It lets you
convert from JPEG to GIF.  It takes _very_ long (ie. hours/overnight)
and one version makes the picture blue.

Once you have it in GIF, use Prism.  It lets you convert the picture
a lot more quickly to Greyscale or 16 colors, and gives you the option
of converting it to 256 or 3200 colors.  Also, I haven't run into a
screen size limitation such as SuperConvert.  The only nice thing
about SuperConvert is its ability to save files as GIFs (only 16
colors tho) and load _a lot_ of formats.
