There are several new instructions as well as the new addressing mode.
The details are too extensive to go into here. You might be able to get
the 65C02 spec sheets from JDR Micro Devices, 800-538-5000. They still
sell the device and might still have the spec sheets. I believe that
Rockwell produced some of the 65C02 chips, and they may supply the spec
sheets (I do not know the address). Also, NCR made the chip and might
supply the spec sheets (don't know that address either).
Byte magazine, Dec 1983 carried an artical on the 65C02. Maybe you can
find an archive on the magazine (library ??), or maybe Byte would supply
a copy of the artical.
The Merlin 8/16 assembler handles 65C02, so if you find a copy of the
manual, you can get all the info you need.
