One thing you should note, Sequential Systems sells two versions of
their RAM-GS. One comes with 4megs and is not upgradeable, and another
with 4megs that is upgradeable. As for inits, I have the non
upgradeable with 4megs, have somewhere in the area of 40-50 inits,
running 6.0.1 with a RamFAST SCSI w/256 cache and I have not run into
any memory problems at all. As for GNO, I dunno but, Appleworks still
flies. I guess my point is that since the upgradeable version is at
least (where I get it from anyways, not direct from SS but from a
dealer) $100 more, I'd want to make sure I really needed all that extra
memory before I bought it.
