Re: FAX/Modem speeds



I don't know why the speed diff between fax and data;
it might be that fax is only "half duplex" (only sends
data in one direction at a time) while the 2400 bps
modem should definitely allow "full duplex" though
that'd only make for a factor of two, not 4.

Keep in mind that fax is graphics, so email tends to much
faster.
