image backup to file

I want to back up my IIgs' hard disk to a magneto optical disk on my Quadra
to which my IIgs is connected via localtalk. Doing the HFS volume is pretty
easy, just requiring connecting the hard disk to the Mac and copying, or using
file sharing if I'm feeling patient. The ProDOS volume is more complicated.
I tried using the backup program from 8 bit Prosel to back up to a file, but
it's so clever it figures out that the file will exceed 16 mb and won't do it.
Is there any way I can do an image backup into a file on my magneto optical?
The IIgs freaks when I connect the magneto drive to it so that's out.

I really hate software that tries to be clever like that. Print shop gs refuses
to work with my networked imagewriter and laserwriter since it's made to use
the printer port and won't work with Appletalk. That kind of crap really sucks.
