The Manager & StdFile

After running The Manager, whenever I bring up
Standard File (Get or Put files) it takes a
very long time for the dialog box to draw.
Somewhere around > one second per entry, >15
seconds for the whole dialog. And this on a
9Mhz machine.

Has anyone else encountered this effect?
Admittedly I have a large number of inits,
etc installed, but can't shift boot because
The Manager requires the Hierarchic init.

The only init that obviously affects SF is
Kangaroo, but I removed it after discovering
it couldn't handle the removeability of
Syquest cartridges. (Kept polling all devices
_many_ times looking for all ejected paths.)

Before I went to the disable all inits route
I was hoping someone else has already resolved
this problem?
