I have two 14.4k modems; the USR Sportster and a Practical Peripherals.
After getting the init codes (and in the case of the USR, the DIPs) set
correctly, the only problem I have is that on _one_ of the numbers
I call, the PP doesn't recognise a dropped carrier. ProTerms OA-t
recovers from it, though.
(BTW, the PP modem fits quite well into a 5-1/4 drive bay of my tower
case expansion chassis ...)
