ASCII Express (DOS 3.3 version) + more
I was wondering if someone might help me on 2 questions
I'm the owner of a apple II (no plus, no e, no gs).
I use a Quadra 800 and an apple //e, however (guess I'm just letting you
know that I've enjoyed the // series for a long time.
1) I'm trying to transfer old ScreenWriter files to a Mac Quadra 800.
These files are DOS 3.3 (slightly modified catalog because of screenwriter
//). What would you all recommend?
2) I would like to be able format a 3.5" disk with apple DOS 3.3. I
realize that 3.3 doesn't typically handle this, but I know that people use
to run bulletin boards with 10Meg drives with apple DOS 3.3,.... can you
use the same techniques on 3.5" drives.... or did it take a very special
driver????
*** in reference to the first question.
I'm trying to the least amount of conversion necissary. (meaning that I
do not want to convert to ProDOS and then to Mac.
I'm thinking of just having one computer call the other via modem and do
an ascii transfer. However, that means that I need a DOS 3.3 modem package
on the apple //. We have ascii express, but can't get the programs
configured.
Is anyone out there remember much about ascii express DOS 3.3????
thanks a bunch
