Interface card handling

Someone suggested finding a non-metallic surface for laying down interface
cards.  While that is probably a good idea, I find that the top of the
disk drive works just fine.  Normally, I keep the disks between the ][e
and the Monitor ][, with a space between them (they're Disk ]['s) to keep
the monitor balanced.  But with the hood open, the disks get stacked to
the right of the machine, the monitor to the left, and the cards on top of
the drive.  They're powered down...shorting the pins will have no effect. 
And if I was worried about it, I'd set them chip-side down.

Just thought I'd point that out...
