Can't help with 1 or 2. The answer to #3 is, I think, just about any store
that sells / supports the MAC. I have heard it called the "high-speed modem
cable". I think it moves the DRS pin on the MAC to the CTS pin on the modem,
but I'm not sure. Whatever it does, it allows the modem to tell the computer
via hardware whether or not it is ready.
