Yeh, its a joke. Expanding on the Star Trek lingo, Voyager is the name
of the new ST series duce to come out next month to replace TNG.
Brief outline: A new class of star ship is supposed to be sent to put
down some Maquee (Is that how its spelled,) resistance. It seems they
got their hands on a star ship. So they're in that gassious part of the
Cardasian border (Remember for DS 9,) and there is some kind of warp
explosion that throws them hundreds of light years across the universe.
With the new star ship damaged, they have to join forces in order to make
it home. The whole series is about that journey.
Another little note of interest. First a white male captain, then a bald
man, then a black man, and now a woman. Yeh, that's right....the new
captain in Voyager will be a woman.

"Damn it! Its my time of the month. Those Romulans don't know what
they're asking for!"
