With my AppleColor RGB screen, the desktop background color is a
shade of purple-blue. I've noticed other programs are displaying incorrect
colors as well, such as OOTW (first screen with car) the lab walls are a
pale grey color, when in fact they should be a deep blue. Like the monitor
mentioned above, I too have problem where the screen brightness is too dark.
In fact, it NEVER fully warms up enough (even with the brightness and contrast
set at maximum) where I can see all colors or pixels on screen. It also seems
as if everything is filtered through a "yellowish" tint. My whites are not
pure-white, greyscales look baige, etc. My RGB monitor was manufactured
during July 1987, however I'm not sure if the problem is age. The back and
side of monitor were exposed to direct sunlight and the case is discolored.
I believe this may have messed up the circuity inside. Not much I can do,
I don't think any of the internal control settings could fix my problems.
Hopefully, one day soon, I'll find someone selling a working AppleColor RGB
to replace this messed up one. :/
