I discussed that matter with the iDisk team a few months ago after I
received my iDisk v1 and realized that it was loading images iif the
speed was set to slow as Mauro wrote.

On the IIgs, the IWM is capable of slowing the speed to 1 MHz or
setting a special double-speed compatible mode with 5.25 drives. In
the case you have a dedicated Disk II analog card and whatever the
speed is, the IIgs firmware does not take care of the speed. It takes
care when it is running a 5.25 drive with the slot set to Disk not to
Your card.

I told the iDisk team some tips for the firmware to take the IIgs into
account ($FE1F with carry study) and slow down the speed of the slot
accordingly and then the team went busy working on its board revision.

The firmware should be upgraded but I don't know if it has already.
