Re: Need Help with AE PC Transporter

Hmmm, it's been a while, but I used to transfer files all the time
between my PCT and ProDOS drives. My system is a ROM 01 GS with
one 5.25" and one 3.5" drive in the transdrive bays and two Apple
3.5" drives connected to the GS's smartport. I usually set up a
hefty DOS RAM disk to use as a psuedo hard drive. In this configuration
the PCT has no problem seeing my ProDOS volumes and I just use the
Transfer.EXE program's menus to move the files. One thing I tried
successfully a few months ago was to set up a DOS RAM disk and
installed the MS-DOS FST on my hard drive. I'd use the PCT to
copy files to the RAM disk (or use ProComm+ and would just DL to
it) and quit back to the finder where I could copy the files off
the RAM disk onto a ProDOS volume. You're supposed to be able
to read the TransDrives from the Finder, but I only got that to
work once and I've never been able to do it since, though I haven't
tried too hard either. Since getting ProTerm and Spectrum I haven't
been using my PCT as much as I used to.

Have fun!
