Is the MS-DOS hard drive file on this disk? If so, the PCT might
prevent you from using another disk in the drive, since the hard drive
image file is open at all times while the PCT is running (I didn't
think ProDOS cared too much about this, but I don't think I've ever
tried removing a disk or moving it to another drive if a file on it is
open).

I suppose you don't have any other drives (apart from the 64k RAM disk
in auxiliary memory).

The best thing I can suggest would be to set up a 3.5" floppy disk to
boot the PCT, with a copy of the TRANSFER program on it along with any
other programs you need. Get into the PCT control panel and disable
the hard drive, then save the configuration, exit from the PCT and
launch again. Boot from your system floppy.

Fingers crossed, you should then be able to remove your PCT system
disk from the ProDOS drive and use TRANSFER to copy files as required.

Plan B: if that doesn't work, can you fit a minimal set of PCT system
files (no hard drive) on the ProDOS /RAM volume? At the very least,
you'd need AEPC.SYSTEM, AEPCBIOS, AEPC.CONFIG and any essential drivers.

Plan C: if they won't fit, set up another ProDOS 3.5" disk with a
minimum set of files required to use the PCT, and use the remaining
space on the disk as your transfer buffer.
