Hey, SS does all its stuff on a standard GS monitor too! For the same
resolution as TR (640x400x256)! But SS offers you more if you have a SVGA
monitor.

Yes, IMHO both will not have much support. So I will choose one that

1) is cheaper -> SS
2) allow me to change to a new monitor -> SS
3) and works with new software that came from my favorite company -> SS
