Granted, that would be nice, but is not something that I would
put alot of hope into. Does anyone know if Burger Bill ever did
rewrite QuickDraw for the Avatar project? If so maybe someone should
start talking to him about SS/TRez possibilities. If he hasn't then I
think the only hope would be to patch QDII, and then as I understand
you run into not only the coding problems, but also patent stuff.
I was thinking more on the lines of routines to initialize the
display, to copy a set of image data to the card memory, and the like.
I think the best bet for these new video cards is to try to
get as many people as possible writing new programs to support them.
The best way to do this is to make it as easy on the programmer as
possible. IMO
