Let me add one thing to previous reply.  The best thing I've found for 
removing keycaps on the GS keyboard is those chip pullers.  For me, I 
don't like using them for pulling chips.  It is too easy to bend pins bad.
Works great as a key cap remover.  Still use care when removing them.  
Get the prongs on both sides of the key cap then pull slowly but firmly.

Most electronics cleaners are Tri-cloro-ethyline(sp?) based and mostly 
harmless.  Still a good idea to have good ventelation.

I finally one day cleaned out my keyboard.  Amazing what they collect.
