Those can't be very good references, unless you didn't look closely
enough.  Error 0911 is an error from the Apple Desktop Bus toolset
(number 9).  It means there was a synchronization error between the
IIgs and the ADB microcontroller, which the IIgs regards as a fatal
error.

It is nearly always caused by overheating.

What chips do you have?  You should have four RAM chips.  If there are
two pairs of chips, then one pair is supposed to go in the TAG RAM
positions, and the other pair in the DATA RAM positions.  If they are
different speeds, the faster ones should go in TAG RAM.

Other than that, the order is unimportant.  Just make sure you get
them around the right way (notch/pin 1 at the top of the card), and set
the DIP switches correctly to tell the ZIP it now has 16k of RAM again.
