I believe that you're talking about uuencoded stuff in the other places.
The best way to extract is to use your newsreader.  It should have a
uudecode in the save options.

As it is, your problems right now is that uuencode is not like BinSCII
where you can decode from multiple segments.  By hand, you'll have to
reassemble all the uuencoded segments into one file, cut out any stuff
between the segments (mail headers, blank lines, news headers, etc),
and then decode it in gscii.  It's a pain but that's what uuencode is.

The error messages you're getting right now is that gscii decodes the
first segment fine, but since it's expecting an unsegmented file, it
gives you the CRC error because you only have part of the file there.
It then gives you an error on the next segment because it doesn't have
a proper header that starts off a uuencoded file, and so on.

So either piece the entire uuencode file together or get your newsreader
to do it for you.
