I;ve donew3 quite a bit of ADC work with II+'s, IIe's, and GS's,
but doing it with the IIc and IIc+ is a little tougher because of
theie lack of slots. However, I have been able to run several
devices via the IIc's and IIc+'s serial port. Specifically, just
about any device that communicates via an RS-232 port (or an
IEEE 488 via an RS-232 converter) can be controlled through the
IIc's serial ports. Some examples include a Stanford Research
Systems boxcar integrater/averager and external data loggers like
the Rustrak Ranger and the DataTaker. Omega Engineering _may_ make
some control devices that function via an RS-232 interface and it
seems a lot of systems are going that way. For realy simple stuff
like temperatyre measurement there's always the game port, but
unfortunately I believe the output's present in other versions
of this port were removed from the IIc so it could also serve as
a mouse port. Lastly, don't discount a IIc using AppleWorks as a
work horse data recorder. I use some realy super AppleWorks
spread sheets at work to combine calculating process variables
(temperatures and flows) and keep QA/QC records. Other spread
sheets serve as handy dandy programmable calculator functions
for immediate data processing. I recently fitted a IIc+ with a
C-Vue flat screen to make it a one power chord affair. As flat
screens go it's dated, but works fine in our office lighting.
