Rev A and Rev B define SmartPort Control code $04 as FORMAT. Rev C
defines it as EJECT, which is the same as a UniDisk 3.5, Apple 3.5
Drive, etc.
Programs shouldn't go around issuing device-specific commands to
arbitrary SmartPort devices without checking the device type first.
GS/OS deliberately refuses to work with an Apple SCSI card with Rev A
or Rev B ROMs, to avoid potential conflicts (and probably because of
other bugs in these ROMs). The Rev C ROM adds other features,
particularly support for the original Apple CD-ROM drive.
