AOL will still bill

Make sure you actually call America Online and cancel your account if you are
an Apple // user and DO NOT SWITCH SOFTWARE.  I was bored to death today and
was reading through some junk mail when I found the letter they sent me "Dear
Apple // slug ..."  When I got it I took it that they were telling me as of Nov
1 you WILL NOT BE a member.  Well I got to thinking today (unusual) and decided
to call 'em.  They do not track who is Apple // according to billing and will
continue to bill you regardless if you can't access via Apple // software.
Since they bill you a month ahead, Oct is about time for your November usage
(according to the rep I spoke with).  She kept trying to explain to me that I
can still keep the service and I kept saying I only own an Apple //.  After a
few 'yes, you can keep AOL but you won't be able to use your a2' I think she
got it.  She cancelled my service ...  So if you are still on AOL and haven't
officially called them you might want to soon.
