Taipan

I have an old game called Taipan, and I'd like to locate the authors/copyright
owners for it, as I'd like to make a port of it.

It is a game where you play a merchant from the 1800's, sailing around the Far
East, buying low, selling high, etc.

the intro screen reads:
TAIPAN  A game based on the China trade of the 1800's
Created by Art Canfil
Apple ][ program by Mega-Micro Computers
Copyright 1982 by Avalanche Productions, Inc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
