Hey, Ron, guess what - I got ODS to add the Apple IN forums...=)
Seeing as how I was going to ask this question anyways, and seeing as
how you seem to have some knowledge in this arena, and you're OH SO
CLOSE to where I live, perhaps you (or someone else) can answer me this:
I'm running my (well, technically it's Darkangel's) enhanced Apple //e
with extended 80 col. card, SSC, and using a USR Sportster 14.4k
data/fax modem. I'm having a bit of a problem. I'm using ProTerm 3.1,
which seems a wee bit better than 3.0 but has at least one bug that I've
discovered, and I have a problem with lost characters. Previous to this
I was using a Zoom 9600, which really sucked, not that it matters. I'm
losing anywhere from a character to entire paragraphs of text. This is
at 14.4k. At 9600 there is very little loss, limited to say a number of
words rather than a paragraph, but it's very annoying when I want to
save something to add to Tower. Is this a hardware problem (the SSC or
//e) or is PT3.1 the problem (3.0 is the same way)? What can I do to
combat this, and will this turbo card of yours help? (I didn't realize
you'd finished it.) Any and all advice appreciated!
BTW - I'm looking for another SSC and zip chips...;)
Give what you would like to receive,
Glenn
