Until I started this thread, I was unfamiliar with any of them.
I knew of "Archiver", of course, and some shareware thing called
"The Snail" (which obviously I've never used.)  Obviously, the
RamFAST approach doesn't help -- I've got the Apple HS SCSI.
But GSTape sounds great -- I've heard nothing but glowing reports
about it.

So far this thread has generated some helpful email (Thanks guys!)
but not many posts.  No one has commented on the "mirror HD"
approach.  I'm assuming that's what Frank was alluding to in this
offer.  Is this a risky approach?  Assume the drive is turned
on only during backup/restores, and is left parked and at a
different physical location at other times.

Frank also mentioned Flopticals (which he wasn't selling :-) )
Are these easily obtained?  New or used?
