Absolutely, except for two things:
1. Cross-compiler options on other platforms are very sparse.
2. Not everyone has/wants a faster computer. That was clear from
the email I received: some people (like myself) can't afford a
new computer, and some, for whatever reasons, actually like to work
on the Apple IIgs :).
Pegasus Pascal is a cheap alternative.

Actually you can, albeit with ridiculous fudging. But that's my point:
better things can come along. Whether or not you thing PP offers
enough advantages for your projects is another questions. For me, it
does.

Have some more! I don't need 'em. {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}
{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} :)
