People have posted replies about the Laser 3.5" drives not working
on Apple IIgs machines.  I don't understand why they say this.  I
have a ROM 3 IIgs which I bought used with one non-Apple 3.5"
drive attached to the Smartport connector.  It works fine.  I bought
another non-Apple 3.5" drive from Quality Computers and plugged it
into my first drive; it too works fine.  I believe these are Laser
drives, but see no branding on the drives.  They are two different
models: SD320 and SD340.  While I haven't tried it, I believe I
could plug either of these drives into my UDC card in my Apple //e
and they would work fine.
So, what's the problem with Laser 3.5" drives on IIgs's?
